Job summary

BJC HealthCare is seeking a patient-focused CNA/healthcare assistant to support licensed nurses at Christian Hospital in St. Louis. The role involves direct patient care, ADL assistance, vital signs, and 1:1 safety as needed.

Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, 36 hours per week, with holiday rotation and every-other-weekend requirements. Preferred candidates include CNAs, nurse assistants, EMTs, or surgical technicians.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care.
• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and basic nursing tasks.
• Collects vital signs, intake/output, and documents patient data.
• Maintains supplies and equipment to meet patient needs.
• Supports patient safety and participates in ongoing professional development.
