Job summary

Inova Neurology seeks an Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team in Fairfax, VA. The role is full-time with a day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. The position supports outpatient clinic operations and patient education in a physician practice setting.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing, RN licensure in Virginia (or eligible), and BLS certification. Preferred 1–2 years in Neurology, Neuroscience, Ambulatory Care or Surgery.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or eligible to practice in Virginia.
• BSN required within 5 years if ADN.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential duties in clinic or outpatient settings including full intakes, medication reconciliation, and patient education.
• Provides safe and therapeutic care in a physician practice or outpatient setting.
• Guides and mentors colleagues as a resource and preceptor; supports team as needed.
• Ensures efficiency in care delivery and prioritizes immediate needs with the team.
• Makes independent clinical decisions based on education and experience.
