Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH is seeking a Medical Office Licensed Practical Nurse for Neurology Associates. The LPN assists providers with exams, documents vitals, and coordinates prescriptions and referrals.

Required are a practical nursing diploma, state LPN licensure, and BLS within 90 days; 1–3 months of experience preferred. This full-time, on-site role includes SOMC’s comprehensive benefits package.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required.
• High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam required.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN (state) required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• One to three months experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Assists the provider with patient examinations, procedures, venipuncture and other diagnostic testing.
• Collects and documents patient vitals, chief complaints and medical histories.
• Performs and maintains LPN duties related to physician office operations.
• Inspects supplies and medications for expiration dates and disposes of expired items.
• Ensures clinical supplies are stocked and reviews charts for next day's appointments.
• Manages medication lists and assists with phone coverage and scheduling.
• Collaborates with health care team to meet patient health care needs.
• Cleans and disinfects patient care areas per policy.
