Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Medical Office Licensed Practical Nurse in Waverly, OH to support providers during patient exams and procedures. You will collect vitals, document medical histories, and assist with prescriptions and patient education.

The role requires a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an active LPN license, and BLS within 90 days. This is a full-time, on-site position with a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN (state dependent) required.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• One to three months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with patient examinations and procedures.
• Collect and document vitals, history and chief complaints.
• Phone and/or e-prescribe prescriptions and make referrals.
• Operate medical equipment and provide patient education.
• Maintain proper stocking of clinical supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate scheduling and phone coverage as needed.
