Job summary

St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, invites applications for a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Neurology team in Chicago.

The APP will work with Neurology physicians and multidisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position requires Illinois licensure as NP/PA, BLS/ACLS, and national certification.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP or PA in Illinois.
• Current Illinois RN and APRN or Physician Assistant license.
• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and neurological exams with physicians.
• Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions under protocols.
• Provide inpatient consultations and assist with discharges.
• Conduct outpatient visits and coordinate follow-ups.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate EEGs, imaging, and labs.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and plans.
• Participate in quality improvement and education activities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per standards.
