Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner to join the Neurology team across Bolingbrook, GlenOaks, Hinsdale and La Grange hospitals. You will work in a hospital-based practice, collaborating with four board-certified Neurology Physicians to deliver comprehensive inpatient care.

The role focuses on evaluating and managing acute and chronic neurological conditions, with a preference for stroke care experience and strong patient-centered communication.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Illinois NP license and BLS certification required.
• Stroke care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• 100% inpatient Neurology practice.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions.

• Support and participate in stroke care when applicable.

Responsibilities

Join our growing Neurology team as an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner providing exceptional care alongside four experienced Neurologists in a collaborative hospital-based practice.

Position Highlights

• 100% inpatient Neurology practice
• Collaborate with and support 4 board-certified Neurology Physicians
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions
• Participate in multidisciplinary inpatient care teams

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Neurology experience preferred
• Stroke care experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
