Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner to join our neurology team across affiliated hospitals. You will work in a 100% inpatient neurology practice, collaborating with four board-certified neurology physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions in a hospital setting.

• Illinois NP license required prior to hire.
• DEA registration required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neurology care alongside four Neurology Physicians.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary inpatient care teams.
• Support 100% inpatient neurology practice.

Join our growing Neurology team as an Inpatient Nurse Practitioner providing exceptional care alongside four experienced Neurologists in a collaborative hospital-based practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Neurology experience preferred
• Stroke care experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care skills

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office
• Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration.
