Job summary

CGH Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in patient care and office operations. The role includes preparing patients, documenting care, and communicating treatment plans to patients and families.

Qualified candidates hold a CMA/RMA/NCMA certification and have BLS within 30 days of hire. Experience in phlebotomy and EKG leads is preferred; strong computer skills are needed. Competitive pay and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification CMA/RMA/NCMA as indicated.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Phlebotomy and placing EKG leads preferred.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic medical care under physician or RN supervision.
• Assists in preparing patients for the physician visit.
• Documents care and progress for physician review.
• Instructs patients on medications and treatment directions.
• Schedules appointments and referrals as directed; performs receptionist duties.
