Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant - Neurology for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this opening is $25.62 – $34.58 per hour, dependent on education, training and experience.

The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinicians in the neurology clinic, prepare patients, take vitals, assist with exams and procedures, maintain exam rooms, document in the EMR, and coordinate scheduling.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Accredited Medical Office Assistant program acceptable if MOA cert eligible.
• Apprenticeship pathway in Medical Assistant accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and record history/vital signs.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and supplies.
• Assist with injections, dressings, and simple wound care as directed.
• Maintain supplies/equipment and sterilize as needed.
• Transport specimens as required.
• Schedule tests and follow-up appointments.
• Enter data into electronic medical record accurately.
• Assist in coordinating patient flow and clinic operations.
