Job summary

MaineHealth Neurology - Brunswick in Brunswick, ME is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our care team. The MA will perform patient care and administrative support in a collaborative, team-based environment, under a provider's supervision to ensure smooth patient flow.

We require a High School diploma or GED with MA training and certification. Current BLS or ability to obtain within 30 days is required; 6 months MA experience or 1 year in a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant role is

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred with medical assisting training.
• Certification required: AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT (with an exemption for MA II under MaineHealth rules for long-tenured staff).
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Six months of MA experience or one year as MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and administrative support in a team-based care environment.
• Perform clinical tasks under the supervision of a licensed provider.
• Help maintain efficient patient flow through the clinic.
