Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Norway, Maine location. This 36 hour per week position involves rooming patients, processing medication refills, and coordinating follow-ups from endoscopy procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED and MA certification, with 6 months of MA experience or 1 year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant. BLS certification is required or obtainable within 30 days of start.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; 160 hours of clinical Medical Assisting experience or equivalent programs.
• Certification: Current MA certification (AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT) required; BLS required or within 30 days of start.
• Experience: Six months as Medical Assistant or one year as MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for visits.
• Process medication refills and manage follow-ups from endoscopy procedures.
• Input labs and abstract charts.
