Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Administrative Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Division of Neurology.

You will supervise administrative staff, manage clinical schedules, and collaborate with Division Leadership to support quality improvement and patient service goals. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with experience in healthcare administration and familiarity with electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Administration or related field.
• 5+ years progressive leadership in an academic health care setting.
• 3+ years supervisory/project management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide practice coverage in the absence of the Division Administrator or Senior Practice Manager.
• Lead the daily operations of the Division office in partnership with Division leadership.
• Supervise the staff associated with the Division.
• Provide daily assignments to administrative staff to ensure a productive work environment.
• Act as backup for clinical operations staff to ensure continuity of workflows.
• Manage ambulatory clinic space and oversee scheduling and templates for providers.
• Monitor provider schedules and impact on clinical operations; adjust as needed.
• Oversee divisional budgeting, monthly variance reporting, and procurement for referrals and testing.
• Recruit administrative staff and complete onboarding; supervise staff time and attendance.
• Collaborate with Division Leadership for staff performance appraisals and ongoing process improvements.
