Qualifications

• Masters degree in business, health care administration, or related field.
• Five to seven years progressively responsible experience required.
• Academic medical center experience preferred; previous experience in a complex health care setting required.
• Knowledge of hospital and university finance and administration preferred.
• Knowledge of administering a physician practice plan preferred.
• Knowledge of managed care
• Knowledge of Maryland reimbursement system

Responsibilities

• The Administrator of Neurology would serve as a key administrative leader for the development and advancement of the Department of Neurology.
• The administrator will work collaboratively with members of the leadership team to drive growth, innovation, and transformation initiatives for these key department/programs.
• The administrator has primary responsibility to advance the Department of Neurology to with multi-divisional, inter-departmental excellence in research, education and clinical activities.
• Oversees management of affiliate negotiations, agreements, discretionary accounts and cost centers with managers and operational solutions to budgetary issues.
• Performs budgetary and financial analyses as required to maintain fiscal control and explore program optimization opportunities.
