Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, invites a Neurologist to join our Quincy, Massachusetts team. This physician-led, collaborative care organization emphasizes coordinated, high-quality patient care within a strong team.

You will evaluate and manage patients with neurological conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe therapies, and collaborate with primary care, specialists, and hospital partners in a connected network.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Prescribe medications, exercises, and/or other appropriate treatments
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care
• Maintain continuity of care through the exchange of information with outside health and social agencies
• Serve as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists, including general surgeons
• Consult with primary care providers on issues related to patient care
• Teach and counsel individuals and groups regarding specific health care needs
• Serve as an educator within areas of specialization
• Participate in the development of health education programs

Education

Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine

Unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain prior to start

Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Neurology

Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain post-hire per state regulations

Current active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substances Registration, or ability to obtain post-hire per state regulations
