Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Neurologist for outpatient care within a nonprofit health system in Texas. You will work with a flexible, Monday–Friday schedule among an established neurology team and leverage support staff, including MAs and LVNs, to deliver patient-centered care.

You will have opportunities to develop sub-specialty interests, participate in potential academic collaborations with Dell Medical School and UT, and provide comprehensive care with virtual options as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurological conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with primary care and specialty teams.
• Provide ongoing, relationship-based care and patient education, including follow-ups and preventive strategies.

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of neurological conditions in an outpatient setting, developing individualized treatment plans and coordinating care with primary care and specialty teams
• Provide ongoing, relationship-based care and patient education, including follow-ups, medication management, and preventive strategies to optimize long-term neurological health
• Locations are within 1 hour of Austin and San Antonio, TX
• Closely affiliated with local Ascension Seton hospitals (Smithville, Edgar B Davis)
• Optional inpatient weekend call at Ascension Seton Hays or central facilities
• Potential for Dell Medical School and The University of Texas faculty positions
