Job summary

Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. You will evaluate referred patients, set patient- and family-centered goals, and design and implement therapy plans in collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree required.
• Experience in adult/children neurological speech and language disorders including aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, dysphagia, laryngectomy, stuttering, and voice disorders.
• Experience with head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, cognition, TBI, dementia, and modified barium swallow studies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized patient care assessing and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, voice, fluency and swallowing disorders.
• Evaluate referred patients, establish patient- and family-centered goals, and develop and execute treatment plans to promote independence in discharged setting.
• Participate in performance improvement and educational opportunities to advance department and profession.
