Job summary

You will perform evaluations, treat patients, and document according to professional standards, covering neurological, ICU-level, medical-surgical, and pediatric cases. You will develop individualized care plans, set goals, educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and ensure timely discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current license as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Georgia.
• Must maintain certification by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
• Experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing speech, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations according to ASHA standards.
• Develops and implements an individualized plan of care for each patient with treatment goals and duration.
• Documents patient progress and communicates with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary team to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provides education to patients and caregivers and discharge recommendations.
• Ensures all documentation and charges are completed accurately and timely.
