Job summary

University of Maryland Capital Region Health seeks an experienced Acute Care APP (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Neuroscience team with a primary focus in Neurointerventional Radiology.

You will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to acutely ill patients, collaborating with physicians, APPs, and nurses while gaining expertise across the neuroscience program including neurocritical care and elective neurosurgical services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program or an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active NCCPA certification or APRN license.
• Active Maryland license through the Maryland Board of Physicians or Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care to acutely and critically ill patients.
• Participate in daily patient rounds and interdisciplinary care planning.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab studies.
• Coordinate and manage patients undergoing neurointerventional evaluation and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans.
