Job summary

The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist at TALENT Software Services supports routine to complex interventional procedures under physician supervision in Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. This role includes extra-cranial/intracranial angiography and related therapies, prioritizing patient service.

You will assist with angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, embolizations, coilings, and clot retrievals, with emphasis on safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) Certification is required.
• State License is required to practice.
• BLS Certification is required for patient care.
• IR and neurointerventional experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IR and neurointerventional procedures including angiography and ablations.
• Assist with sterile and non-sterile aspects of procedures for neurointerventional patients.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment following protocols in interventional procedures.
• Ensure radiation safety standards are met and maintained.
• Instruct students and residents when necessary as a preceptor.
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment used for IR procedures.
• Maintain supply inventory for IR and neuro IR procedures.
• Utilize IR scheduling systems and review procedure codes for billing.
• Stay current with new techniques and technologies through ongoing learning.
• Adhere to clinical principles and hospital policies; protect patient confidentiality.

The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician in the Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. This includes extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, other spinal injections, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals. Priority is given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Job Summary

The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician in the Angio Interventional Radiology or Neuro IR services. This includes extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, other spinal injections, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals. Priority is given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for all IR and neurointerventional procedures, including discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations.
• Offer technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, for neurointerventional procedures including tumor, epistaxis, and spinal lesion embolization.
• Operate required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and neurointerventional patient procedures.
• Ensure proper safety standards are met, and radiation safety practices are adhered to.
• Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary.
• Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
• Assist in maintaining supply inventory for all IR and neuro IR procedures.
• Utilize information systems including IR scheduling online.
• Review coding procedures for accurate billing of all neuro IR and IR procedures.
• Learn new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
• Adhere to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing or supervising all interventional diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Schedule Notes

7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, on-call required every other weekend. 4x10-hour shifts.
