Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Neuro Rad Tech in New York for a contract/travel assignment. The role covers diagnostic imaging, patient prep, and operating X-ray, CR and DR equipment, with call 1-2 times/week and 1-2 weekends/month.

The successful candidate will have BLS certification (American Heart Association), a minimum of 2 years' experience, IR experience preferred, and may receive Neuro IR training if coming from other radiology modalities.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in radiology.
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred; Neuro IR training provided if coming from other modalities.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic-quality radiographic imaging with proper exposure and positioning.
• Prepare patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
• Operate X-ray, CR, and DR systems.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions.
• Use HIS, RIS, and PACS for documentation and information management.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and medication security.
• Provide care to patients across all age groups.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
• Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and hospital personnel.
