Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional, Neurointensivist, to join its renowned Neuro ICU team. You will manage complex neurocritical care patients, work within a multidisciplinary team, and participate in advanced neurological care alongside neurosurgeons and physicians.

The role emphasizes night coverage, 12-hour shifts, and a schedule that varies weekly with weekend/holiday rotation, in a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or PA studies required.
• Active RN and APRN licenses in state(s) of practice.
• National board certification in area of practice.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans tailored to age, acuity, and condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and ensure coding accuracy.
• Participate in quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
