Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, seeks an APP – Neurointensivist to join a world-class Neuro ICU team.

You will manage complex neurocritical care cases, collaborate with neurosurgery, neurology, and nursing staff, and contribute to education and quality initiatives.

The role includes 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends, 40 hours weekly, with no on-call requirement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Requires RN/APRNs with board certification in relevant practice area
• Master’s in nursing or PA studies required
• Active APRN license and national board certification expected

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage neurocritical care patients with appropriate plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including neurosurgery and neurology
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge guidance
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and ensure compliant billing
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and committees
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring new team members
