Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Nurse) – Neuro Intensive Care Unit Nocturnist

We are seeking a board-certified Advanced Practice Provider to manage neuro‑critical care patients in our Neuro Intensive Care Unit. The role provides full‑time night shift coverage, including overnight, weekends, and holidays, complementing a team of two Neurointensivists and rotating residents in Neurology and Neurosurgery.

Responsibilities

• Manage neuro‑critical care patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Provide night shift coverage throughout the week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Review and interpret imaging and other diagnostic studies.
• Collaborate with the Neurointensivist team and residents to optimize patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain high quality of care.

Qualifications

• Board‑certified in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active New Jersey medical license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Experience in ICU, Neurosurgery, In‑patient Neurology, Trauma, Surgery, Hospitalist, and/or Emergency Medicine.

Schedule

• Full‑time night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am.
