Job summary

University of Denver's Learning Effectiveness Program is seeking LEP Tutors for the 2026-2027 academic year to support students in Business, Engineering/CS, Humanities, and more, in a one-on-one setting under the Tutoring Coordinator and Lead Tutor. Hours vary by student needs across Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters; this is a non-benefited, part-time role with a 1,000-hour annual cap.

New tutors complete orientation and CRLA Level I/II training.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of demonstrated tutoring experience in the subjects you want to tutor.
  • Ability to adapt tutoring techniques to LEP needs.
  • Must provide unofficial transcript or evidence of subject proficiency.
  • Must be located in the Denver Metro area and provide in-person availability.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor in a one-on-one setting with neurodiverse learners.
  • Help students build independence and study skills.
  • Maintain availability and subjects in Accudemia.
  • Complete tutoring assessments within 48 hours and update appointments within 24 hours.
  • Attend required trainings and tutor meetings throughout the year.
  • Provide timely communication with Tutoring Coordinator and Lead Tutor.
