Job summary

The University of Colorado Denver seeks individuals for a pool of temporary, non-tenure track Lecturer positions in the Department of Electrical Engineering to teach one or more undergraduate courses as needed on a part-time, semester-by-semester basis. Courses will vary, and pay is per course or per lab depending on assignment.

Assignments depend on enrollment and budget; travel and relocation expenses are not provided.

Qualifications

Master of Science degree in electrical engineering or in a related field is required for teaching undergraduate level courses.
A PhD degree in electrical engineering or related fields is required for teaching graduate level courses.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is required to teach undergraduate labs.

Responsibilities

Teach one to three classes as assigned per term.
Prepare for each class session and deliver balanced, rigorous lessons via Canvas and Zoom in accordance with prescribed curricular objectives and outcomes.
Hold weekly office hours as appropriate per course allocation.
Assess student progress according to curricular objectives and adhere to program policies.
Record attendance and grades online and be accessible for communication with students.
