Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist (PRN, Days) to perform EEGs, EMG and related neurodiagnostic tests. You will apply electrodes, operate recording equipment, and assist physicians with specialized tests while maintaining high standards of patient care.

The role requires a GED or higher, ABRET/AAET/ABEM eligibility within 3 years, BLS within 6 months, and preferred EEG experience. Join a patient-focused team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years experience and/or training in the hospital or elsewhere to learn the many aspects of neurodiagnostics.
• Must be certified/registered in at least one area of Neurodiagnostics (EEG/EMG/IOM) within 3 years after meeting ABRET, AAET, ABEM eligibility.
• BLS required within six months after hire.
• Direct neurodiagnostic (EEG) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, escorts patients to testing room and explains the examination process.
• Conducts electroencephalograms (EEGs) and other neurological tests including evoked potentials and IOM.
• Attaches electrodes and operates recording instruments for testing.
• Monitors patient response and records observations to ensure data quality.
• Studies data, prepares written reports and enters information into computer systems.
• Maintains testing area cleanliness and performs routine equipment maintenance.
