Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3 years hospital experience or training in neurodiagnostics preferred.
• Must be certified/registered in EEG (R. EEGT), EMG (R. EDT), or IOM (CNIM) within 3 years of meeting eligibility requirements
• BLS certification required within 6 months after hire
• Direct neurodiagnostic experience preferred
• Ability to operate a PC and basic software used in the department

Responsibilities

• Conduct EEGs and other neurological tests including EMG, evoked potentials, IOM, and related procedures.
• Greet and escort patients, explain procedures, and perform testing in various locations (inpatients/outpatients).
• Apply electrodes and monitor recording equipment; ensure proper function and accurate data collection.
• Record results, prepare reports, and input data into the computer with patient history and test details.
• Maintain testing area and equipment, perform minor repairs and calibrations as needed.
