Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist for full-time, 3rd shift. You will perform EEGs, EMG, IOM, and related neurological tests with supervision and provide expert technical support to physicians.

Qualifications include high school diploma or GED, and ABRET eligibility or certification within 3 years. BLS required within six months. Strong patient care and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of neurodiagnostic training or related experience.
• Certification in EEG (R. EEGT), EMG (R. EDT), or IOM (CNIM) within 3 years of eligibility.
• BLS certification within six months after hire.
• Direct neurodiagnostic EEG experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a PC and standard software used in the department.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative within procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, escorts to testing room, and explains procedures.
• Conducts EEGs and other neurological tests including evoked potentials and IOM.
• Assists physicians with specialized neurological tests as needed.
• Applies electrodes precisely and verifies equipment function.
• Operates recording instruments and monitors patient response.
• Maintains a clean, orderly testing area and handles equipment maintenance.
• Documents test results and summarizes patient data for physicians.
