University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Neurodiagnostics Technician for night shift, resource status with on-call duties. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/CPR provider required.
• EEG technician certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Windows-based computer systems.
• A minimum of one year college level health sciences courses.
• Able to work independently as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG and Evoked Potential testing per guidelines established by the lab.
• Care for and maintain EEG and Evoked Potential equipment.
• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Apply electrodes according to lab protocol.
• Operate EEG and Evoked Potential recording equipment and accessories.
• Monitor EEG and EKG; recognize artifacts and correct malfunctions.
• Process and file Neurodiagnostics reports.
• Able to perform essential duties in the EPIC system.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure patient care.
• Ensure patient safety and privacy throughout testing.
