Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking an electroneurodiagnostic technologist to perform electrode placement and EEG studies with high quality and safety standards. You will adapt procedures to clinical needs and may travel to shared service hospitals to perform EEGs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, accreditation in electroneurodiagnostic technology or equivalent training, ABRET Part I eligibility or 1–3 years EEG experience, and CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate required.
• Graduate of an accredited electroneurodiagnostic technology program or equivalent formal training.
• Eligible for ABRET Part I or 1-3 years EEG experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Universal Precautions Category I.

Responsibilities

• Measures and applies electrodes in 10-20 system; ensure impedances meet standards.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with patients, families, physicians and staff.
• Performs high quality electroneurodiagnostic studies per lab standards.
• Adapts procedures and adjusts monitor/machine settings to define abnormalities.
• Travels to shared service hospitals to perform EEGs.
• Performs work duties per MMC Safety and Infection Control Standards.
• Recognizes and eliminates electrode artifacts to obtain adequate tests.
• Learns to perform Neonatal, Ambulatory EEG and Neurointensive Video EEG monitoring.
• Performs other related work as required.
