Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Trauma PCU in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for Neuro Trauma patients in a 48-bed unit with rotating shifts.

This full-time day position may include on-call duties, weekends, and holidays with differential pay. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, BLS, and have prior acute care experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification required.
• Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired.
• Banner Registry and Travel roles require a minimum of one year in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate plans of care including discharge planning and goals in collaboration with patient and family.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care with the health care team, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Evaluate patient progress and adapt care plans based on outcomes and changes in condition.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and patient responses accurately in medical records.
