Job summary

Banner Health is hiring a registered nurse for the PCU Neuro-Trauma at the Phoenix campus. This full-time day shift position involves 7:00am–7:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, on-call duties, and participation in the Nursing Clinical Ladder Program for potential salary enhancements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care or relevant clinical area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, and educational needs and plan discharge
• Formulate a nursing plan of care in collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team
• Implement and coordinate care with appropriate delegation and supervision
• Document assessments, plans, interventions and patient responses accurately in the chart
• Evaluate patient progress and modify the care plan as needed
• Provide evidence-based care and participate in professional development
• Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to ensure safe, effective care
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as assigned
