Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking an experienced RN for Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit (NTICU) and trauma critical care. A $14,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

The role emphasizes nursing assessment, coordination, and collaboration with the health care team to implement the patient’s plan of care. The position requires an Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred) with current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, TCAR, DIMC, and TEAM ADVANCED credentials.

Qualifications

• Orientation completed for NTICU nurse manager.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with individuals and groups.
• Promotes clinical knowledge development including critical thinking and research in trauma and critical care.
• MyMichigan Health competency in Microsoft Windows.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient for physical, emotional, psych/social and family support.
• Organizes and coordinates all aspects of patient care according to the patient’s real and/or perceived needs.
• Evaluates patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the patient’s plan of care or clinical path.
• Consults and collaborates with members of the health care team in planning and implementing total patient care for individuals.
