Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Unit Clerk for our Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. The unit includes 18 critical care beds and 17 step-down beds, caring for post-operative and neuro patients.

Schedule: two 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; flexible availability for weeknights, weekends and holidays as needed. Responsibilities include clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination under supervision of licensed personnel.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho.
• Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing or completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required at hire (BLS from AHA/ARC or Military Training Network).
• Six months of patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to care for all age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric).

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at the unit level with clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care and related non-professional services under supervision of a licensed nurse.
