Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team on the Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit. The Neuro Surgical Trauma Step Down Unit consists of 17 beds and cares for post‑operative patients as well as those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological conditions.

You will support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination, and you

Qualifications

• Maintain current Nurse Apprentice application on file with Idaho State Board of Nursing or complete Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• Six months patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to care for Neonate through Geriatric age groups as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at unit level with clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care services and related non‑professional tasks under supervision of a licensed nurse.
