Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Nurse Apprentice to join our Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit nursing team. The 17-bed unit cares for postoperative and neuro patients including brain injuries, strokes, and spinal injuries under licensed nurses.

You will assist with clerical tasks, patient services, and basic nursing care under supervision, supporting the clinical staff to ensure compassionate, patient-centered care across all age groups in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing or complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
• Six months patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge to competently care for all age groups (Neonate to Geriatric) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care services and related non-professional tasks necessary in caring for patients under supervision.
