Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Neuro Telemetry in a part-time daytime role. This inpatient RN coordinates and delivers nursing care to acutely ill patients, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate outcomes.

Requires BSN or ADN with BSN plan, IL RN license, and BLS. The role involves collaboration with physicians and staff, participation in governance and project teams, and adherence to standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities and teamwork are essential.
• Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward outcomes.
• Directs care and determines appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians and staff; documents plan focused on outcomes and communications.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions and individualizes care.
• Uses current evidence to guide nursing practice.
