Job summary

Capital Health in Trenton seeks a Critical Care Technician for Neuro Telemetry. The role supports the patient care team with phlebotomy, glucometer tests and EKGs, while performing clerical tasks and equipment stocking. Work involves direct patient assistance under RN supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, EMT-related experience or training, and AHA BLS certification. Stroke CE hours and CNA-like training preferred. 36 hours weekly, day shifts, on-site in Trenton, NJ.

Qualifications

• EMT experience or completion of EMT Academy, military medic, patient care assistant, or nursing-related clinical training.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed candidates must obtain before end of orientation.
• Stroke-related continuing education (4 hours) annually if assigned to critical care units.

Responsibilities

• Assist professional staff in delivering indirect and direct patient care.
• Perform phlebotomy, glucometer testing, and EKG duties as required.
• Handle clerical duties, supply maintenance and documentation; support unit operations.
• Care for patients under RN direction, monitor vitals, and report observations promptly.
