Capital Health in Trenton, NJ, is seeking a Critical Care Technician for Neuro ICU to join our night shift team. The role includes phlebotomy, glucometer testing, and EKG responsibilities, with duties spanning direct patient care and essential clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have EMT experience or related clinical training and a High School diploma, with AHA BLS certification. CNA or UAP training is preferred, with orientation and stroke CE requirements noted.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Experience as an EMT or successful completion of EMT Academy, military medic, PCA in an acute care or equivalent skill in long-term care setting, or completion of a medical assistant program.
• AHA BLS certification. Non-Licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• 4 hours of Stroke related Continuing Education annually if assigned to Critical Care/Neuro units and related areas.

Aufgaben

• Provides for safety aspects of patient care and assists with patient transfers and falls precautions.
• Performs personal care under RN direction (bathing, mouth care, incontinence care).
• Collects specimens (stool, urine, sputum) and records intake/output.
• Performs phlebotomy, glucometer tests, and EKGs as required.
• Maintains clean, organized unit environment and reports observations to RN.
