Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Nurse Apprentice to join the Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit team. The unit cares for post-operative patients and those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, seizures, strokes, and other neurological conditions.

You will support clinical staff with clerical duties and deliver essential nursing care under licensed supervision, on a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing or complete the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program.
• Required Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist and patient service coordination.
• Perform nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under direction and supervision of the licensed nurse.
