Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Neurology service. You will support the OR team, prepare equipment, and ensure sterile technique during procedures.

This full-time role requires 2–3 years CST experience, BLS, and CST certification; neurology experience preferred. Shifts are 4x10 hours, with on-call duties.

A $8,000 sign-on bonus is offered, orientation Monday–Friday 06:15–14:45 for up to 12 weeks, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years CST experience with knowledge of eight to ten surgical specialties; capable of operating standard OR equipment.
• CST certification and BLS per AHA/ARC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse Circulator by organizing and preparing the OR for procedures.
• Provide perioperative patient care by selecting and opening supplies and equipment.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure safe and efficient operating room turnover.
• Pass instruments and anticipate surgeon needs during procedures.
• Support perioperative staff as a resource and preceptor when needed.
