Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse II (RN II) to provide direct patient care in the Neuro Surgical department. The nurse will utilize the nursing process, assess patients, plan and document care, and lead in quality and safety initiatives.

They will coordinate patient teaching and support the health team while maintaining professional standards. The RN II role requires Virginia licensing, BLS, and progression through Practice Ladder with additional certifications.

Qualifications

• Meets all requirements of a RN I.
• Competent to provide care based on nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate patient teaching, quality and safety initiatives, and teamwork.
• Lead and communicate with staff and act as Charge Nurse as needed.

Education

Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN)
