Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking an RN II in the Neuro Surgical department to provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsibilities include leadership, patient education and collaboration with the health team.

Required RN licensure with BLS; Certification in Labor & Delivery ACLS preferred. Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required and BLS certified; ACLS preferred for L&D.
• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Advancement based on 1872 hours (936 with BSN) and performance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and lead in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Coordinate patient teaching, quality and safety initiatives, and teamwork.
• Serve as Charge Nurse and participate in department initiatives and PI activities.
