Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the Neuro Stepdown unit. You will coordinate patient placement, staff assignments, and daily clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient unit performance.

Lead and develop nursing staff, participate in education programs, and support budgeting and resource management. The role requires RN licensure and prior supervisory experience, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• BSN preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement and staff assignments to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Supervise and oversee daily clinical activities to maintain quality, safety, and standards.
• Assist clinical staff with patient care activities and unit operations as needed.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and direct nursing staff in clinical situations.
• Perform staff nurse duties when necessary based on patient acuity and census.
