Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking an RN to provide direct patient care in the Neuro unit, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards.

The role involves educating patients and families on illness management, participating in safety and quality initiatives, and collaborating with an interprofessional team to coordinate care across the continuum. This is a safety-sensitive nursing position.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree.
• Experience: No Experience.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family.
• Proactively plans and communicates the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
