Job summary

The Minds Matter LLC in Missouri seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat adults with acquired brain injury. You will plan and provide therapeutic interventions tailored to language and communication deficits, using evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities include administering evaluations, developing exercise programs, coordinating with case managers, educating families, and documenting progress in a timely, professional manner within each consumer's plan of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a valid state license in KS or MO.
• Experience with brain injury populations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer speech and language evaluations.
• Develop speech exercise programs.
• Consult with and refer consumers to additional medical or educational services.
• Assist individuals to identify their needs and develop compensation techniques to accommodate the consequences of their brain injury.
• Test and evaluate consumers’ abilities and analyze medical data to determine best methods and strategies for speech therapies.
• Educate consumer and family about communication strategies and other language improvement techniques.
• Integrate employment, educational and independent living goals into therapy.
• Maintain and turn in all documentation at assigned times.
• Attend trainings to maintain up-to-date, evidence-based practice.
• Provide care and maintenance for Minds Matter LLC issued equipment.
