Job summary

ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah in Neenah, Wisconsin is seeking a Patient Care Tech to work under supervision of a nurse leader. The role performs patient-centered nursing care activities to meet physical and psychosocial needs, within a team that delivers high-quality care.

Schedule features two 12-hour DAY shifts (5:30a–6p), with every 3rd weekend worked and rotating holidays. The Neuro unit focuses on stroke, brain surgery, spine, and stepdown to ICU.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in healthcare is beneficial.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs delegated patient care activities using evidence-based practice and competencies for the patient population served.
• Checks patients' vital signs, height, and weight as needed based on patient type.
• Provides compassionate care and guides patients by answering questions or concerns.
• Identifies and escalates changes in patient status or risks to prevent crisis.
• Collects clinical data and reports to the care team.
• Transports patients and assists with mobility and daily activities.
