Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking compassionate Patient Care Technicians to join our inpatient rehabilitation unit at the Orthopedic Spine and Pain Hospital in Appleton, WI. You will support nursing staff and provide patient-centered care, helping patients regain independence and comfort through daily activities.

This role focuses on clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, phlebotomy, and assisting with basic needs; a HS diploma and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities using evidence-based practice for the patient population served.
• Checks vital signs, height, and weight as needed.
• Provides compassionate care and answers patients' questions.
• Identifies changes in patient status and escalates as needed.
• Obtains ECGs and performs phlebotomy as directed.
• Assists patients with basic needs and mobility.
