Responsibilities

• Provides visualization of the operative site using appropriate method, including manipulation of tissue and materials, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
• Assists with hemostasis through appropriate techniques.
• Assists with body plane closure, wound dressings and drainage systems.
• Assists with patient positioning to maximize comfort and safety.
• Performs duties per state practice standards.
• Must serve on one of the three specialty teams.
