The Brigham and Women's Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Research Lab Tech I to investigate microbiome and immune roles in neurologic disease using animal models. You will execute diverse experiments, document findings, and maintain lab notes at a professional level.

Ideal candidates have some lab experience and are pursuing a bachelor's degree with on-the-job training provided for specific procedures.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
• Good manual dexterity and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Administers bacteria or immunomodulatory agents to animal models.
• Handles mice, including treatment administration and behavioral tests.
• Learns to operate Flow Cytometry machinery.
• Performs ELISA, DNA/RNA purification and cloning.
• Maintains mouse colonies and records of strains/breeding.
• Cultures bacteria from the microbiome and maintains stocks.
